In October 2023 my fiancé Louise was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma. On September the 20th Louise was sent home from work due to pains in her chest. To be safe we attended A&E where Louise had some standard tests including a chest X-ray, ECG and blood tests. We were sent home from hospital with the diagnosis of an intercostal muscle strain and thought nothing more of it until later that week when it was requested that Louise return to hospital for a CT-scan. On the 4th October two weeks after the initial hospital visit we got the news from the consultant that they had discovered a tumor in the center of Louise's chest and suspected that this was Lymphoma. On the 20th October Louise had a biopsy which confirmed the diagnosis. Thankfully up to now Louise has had no other symptoms and is fit and well but she will start her treatment of chemotherapy on the 28th November.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for Lymphoma in April 2024 we have a team of 4 taking on the challenge of running the Brighton Marathon, the city where Louise grew up. In the team we have my sister Helen, my dad Gareth, my friend Dylan and finally me, Harry. Any donations and support would be greatly appreciated and will go to a great cause as we will be running for Lymphoma Action the UK's only charity dedicated to Lymphoma, the fifth most common cancer effecting over 14,000 people each year in the UK. For 30 years they been providing in-depth, expert information and wide-ranging support helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma.
