Every year I like to do a challenge to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, and this year I will be doing a rollercoaster marathon.

Everyone knows how much I love riding rollercoasters, so I wanted to do something with this love to raise money for a charity that means so much to me.

I have ridden lots of rollercoasters over the years, but never before in my life have I ridden 1 rollercoaster non stop for 6 hours and that's what I'm going to attempt to do this year.

On Sunday 13th September I will be riding the 2nd tallest rollercoaster in the UK, the Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, non stop for 6 hours.

The iconic ride, with it's huge 1st drop right next to the Irish Sea, is 1675 metres long, and stands 235ft high above the seafront in Blackpool. I have ridden it a few times in a row before, but then I had to get off and walk back round to the queue each time, giving me and my body a rest. In this challenge, other than a toilet break if I need one halfway through the day, there will be no getting off or resting, or even eating, just non stop riding throughout the opening hours of the park.

Seeing my Dad die from cancer was one of the worst times of my life, so I can't even begin to imagine how awful it must be if a child has cancer, which is why I want to do a little something each year to try to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust who do such amazing work to help young people with cancer and their families, and they have to do it without any government funding.

I know people will think me riding a rollercoaster isn't as challenging as some of the other challenges I've done, but believe me, riding the Big One non stop all day will be tough. Also, I've spoken to the people at TCT, and they said that no one has ever done a challenge like this for them, and it will also be a challenge that the young people they are treating can relate to, and if it's good enough for them, it's definitely good enough for me, so I'm going to do everything I can to raise as much money as possible by doing this.

Raising money for TCT really does mean so much to me, so if anyone is able to spare a few quid to sponsor me, that would be amazing.
