Story
Neurokinex is a specialist neurology gym. Their vision is to make Intensive Rehabilitation and maintenance programmes accessible and inclusive for those living with paralysis.
This year, the Charity Golf Day at Walton Heath will be in aid of Neurokinex. The charity was chosen due to its connection with the late Dr Alastair Wells - previous Chairman and past Captain. This page has been set up for those that would like to contribute to the charity but are unable to attend the Charity Golf Day itself on 29th October.
When Alastair came home from the hospital, he visited this gym twice a week. With his determination, their specialised skills and my mother's support, he continued to make huge progress. At his most recent visits, he walked with the aid of parallel bars.
The therapists provided more than support and encouragement; they became friends. Alastair also drew strength from his close bonds with people on their own rehabilitation journeys, particularly his dear friend Kevin who made the initial introduction to this service. He would want more people to have access to this incredible facility and the hope they provide.
