Story
On Thursday 14th May, the Manchester Indirect Tax team will be walking from Manchester to Hebden Bridge fundraising for FareShare Greater Manchester.
The c.22 mile route (walking all day and around 55,000 steps) will follow the Rochdale canal and we will meet the Deloitte Indirect Tax NE team at Hebden Bridge, who will be joining us from Leeds.
Please do support us where you can by donating to our page and helping us exceed our target. All donations made to our fundraising page will be matched by Deloitte, doubling the impact of your contribution.
FareShare rescues surplus food from the food industry that would otherwise go to waste, redistributing it to a network of over 200 charities, schools, and community groups across Greater Manchester. Their work tackles food insecurity and helps vulnerable individuals and families access nutritious meals. Through this partnership, we look forward to raising awareness and supporting their mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger.
Our office charity partnership forms part of Deloitte's Social Impact programme where we are focused on building better futures for all concentrating on three key areas where we believe we can make a lasting difference: a digital world for everyone / more sustainable ways of doing business / a skilled workforce for the future.
