I am deeply grateful for the incredible support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust has provided to my granddaughter over the past two years.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a challenging genetic condition that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system, affecting more than 11,000 people across the UK. One in 25 of us unknowingly carries the faulty gene responsible for CF.

Living with cystic fibrosis presents daily physical and mental challenges that impact not only those diagnosed but also their families. The journey can be tough, but thanks to the dedication of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, our community is coming together with hope and determination to find effective treatments for everyone affected.

On 13 September 2026, I will be participating in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride to raise funds for this vital cause.
