Based in Salisbury, with connections across the South West, Alabare has become a leading campaigner, through actions as well as words, to end homelessness. I have seen their work, which includes helping young people with mental health issues and destitute military veterans. So often it is the quiet, uncomplaining people who are the most vulnerable and who end up on the streets with no one to turn to. The St. Paul's Cathedral event has been postponed but I will sleep out at Stonehenge on 14th November instead to raise money and awareness to help to break the cycle of Veteran homelessness.
