In May 2026, the teams at Charles Edwardson and Rivers Finance Group will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for The Knights Foundation.

The Knights Foundation is a charity that does amazing work providing support, sensory experiences, holidays and equipment to disabled children, seriously ill children and their families. In particular, they have an accessible holiday home on the South coast - The Knights Foundation Lodge - where they offer stress free family holidays and use of the facilities free of charge.

Jonny Kempsey (Founder of Charles Edwardson) & Rishi Shah (Business Operations Director at Rivers Finance Group), along with James Avery and Julie Thickpenny from Charles Edwardson, will set out to conquer the three highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. It will be a huge physical and mental test, but one that they are incredibly proud to take on for such an important cause.

Charles Edwardson are expert brokers specialising in commercial finance, while Rivers Finance Group is an independent niche asset finance funder. Both companies have enjoyed a long history of working together to support small and medium-sized businesses across the UK to the tune of over £10Million in the recent years.

The combined team has been putting the winter months to good use with training in full force and aching limbs already proving testament to their hard work. Every pound raised during this challenge will help The Knights Foundation continue to support families when they need it most.

Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference and is hugely appreciated.

The Knights Foundation will be donating 25% of all money raised to the Lullaby Trust, a cause very close to Julie's heart.

Julie adds 'The Lullaby Trust is a charity very close to my heart as they support parents and families that have lost babies to SIDS. We had our first son, Jake, in December 2016 and we heartbreakingly lost him 7 weeks later to SIDS. At the very worst time of our lives, The Lullaby Trust were so supportive and really helped us through. The support they offer is amazing and they continue to support us now, which is why I want to help support them too. Every step I take up these mountains is for Jake, and every penny I get for that is to try to prevent other parents suffering what we have been and continue to go through.

Thank you so much to everyone that supports us in this challenge.'
