Story
Everyone is warmly invited to attend a talk at the Royal Asiatic Society, hosted by the Charles Lamb Society:
'Careless as a Beggar: Charles Lamb and Vagrancy' by Dr Sara Lodge, 2.30pm, Saturday November 18, Royal Asiatic Society, 14 Stephenson Way, London, NW1 2HD
Charles and Mary Lamb were acutely aware of the problems faced by the poor, homeless, and marginalised. Dr Sara Lodge will explore his essays of the 1820s in this talk, and this fundraiser acknowledges that the issues he raised then are still pressing today. While the lecture is free to attend, there is a suggested donation (if you can) of £5, or whatever you would like to pay.
