Story
In memory of Charles Mills, we would like to donate money to Alder Hey to contribute to their fundraising for a brand new haemodialysis machine. Charles' eldest daughter, Sarah, died of a rare kidney disease at age 7 so this cause is something very close to the hearts of Charles and Liz Mills. Sarah underwent treatment at Alder Hey.
There has been an increase in the number of children who need haemodialysis, and Alder Hey are currently running around 54 sessions per week As well as increasing their capacity, the new machine will be suitable for young children under 20kg, not just older children, so it gives us the scope they need to support all patients and babies.
These new machines have a much lower risk of technical errors than older equipment, meaning that they can often save time and treatment.
Help us treat more children and make these sessions as comfortable as possible by donating today. It is a huge undertaking for families to travel to Alder Hey several times a week for renal dialysis and we want this vital treatment to be as stress-free and efficient as possible for them.

Many thanks
Liz, Lucy and Tom.
