St Mary’s Hospice provides specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life-shortening conditions throughout South Cumbria. Only 18% of our funding comes from the NHS, the rest comes from our supporters. All our services are provided free to patients and their families.

Story

Hi everyone, me and Brett Carter have decided to let go of the mullets🥲. We thought that we would like to donate our hair to the great charity that is the little princess trust. The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. They also fund childhood cancer research searching to find kinder and more effective treatments.

We have also decided to split the funding with St Mary’s Hospice as the work they do is incredible and I’m sure a lot of people will have experienced their work before.

it will be taking place on Sunday the 29th of September in the Barrow Raiders MKM marquee after the Barrow Raiders vs Widnes Vikings fixture.

To make it a little more exciting we set a target of £3,000 and if we meet this target before the end of the game we will do some waxing with the time we have left after the haircut.

We’d like to encourage any cash donations to come to the game and there will be a bucket going round asking for donations.

Any donations no matter how little or large are greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!💙🤍
