In August 2026, my 10-year-old son, Charlie, will be taking on the biggest challenge of his life.

From 15th August to 30th August 2026, Charlie will cycle an incredible 970 miles (1,561km) from Newcastle to the South Coast, visiting every Premier League stadium along the way before finishing at Southampton.

Charlie is doing this to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of his grandad, who sadly lost his battle with cancer at the age of 65.

This challenge will push Charlie both physically and mentally. There will be long days in the saddle, tough weather conditions, and moments when he’ll want to give up. But knowing that every mile ridden is helping to fund life-saving research will keep him going.

Cancer affects so many families, and ours is no different. By supporting Charlie’s challenge, you’ll be helping Cancer Research UK continue their vital work to improve treatments, find new cures, and give more families hope for the future.
