Story
My name is Charlie and thank you so much for visiting my page.
This year I will turn 13 and celebrate my Bar Mitzvah. As I take this step toward becoming a man, I wanted to mark the occasion by doing something memorable that challenges me and can also make a difference to others.
So from April 2nd to April 6th, I’ll be taking on a "Sea-to-Sea" challenge in Israel. Along with my Mum and Dad, I’ll be trekking 35 miles cross-country from the Achziv on the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee. It’s a four-day journey involving long hiking days, camping under the stars, and staying in hostels along the route. Its going to be tough at times with early starts and steep hills and mountains to climb but its very exciting too and all in a good cause - as I’m incredibly proud to be supporting and raising money for two amazing charities that I have a personal affinity to:
One of the charities I’m supporting is Camp Simcha. They bring so much light and happiness to children who are going through really difficult times. They’ve been helping our family friend Ari, and seeing the difference they’ve made to her and her family has inspired me to get involved. Knowing that the money I raise can help kids like Ari feel supported, cared for, and less alone really motivates me.
🧠 Supporting Neurodiversity: Almut in Israel
The second charity I have chosen supports neurodiverse children and teens in Israel, including those with ADHD. I have ADHD myself, and I’m proud of my neurodiversity — it’s part of who I am. But I also know that for some people, it can be really hard to manage their daily life without extra help, understanding, and the right support.
This charity makes sure that kids who struggle have a safe place to grow, learn, and feel confident in who they are. Supporting them feels personal to me, because I know how much of a difference the right help can make.
❤️ Why This Means So Much to Me
I chose these two charities because they represent two things I care deeply about: helping children facing major challenges and supporting people who are neurodiverse like me. I want every child—no matter what they’re going through—to feel hope, strength, and support - and if i can contribute and make just a little difference somewhere then that would be great..
Thank you so much for reading and for supporting my fundraising. Every donation, big or small, helps make someone’s life brighter.
