We are both participating in a personal skydiving event to raise funds for Action for Children.

I feel very deeply about this as I have experienced the fear of being on the brink of homelessness. I remember those weeks filled with anxiety, asking friends if I could stay on their couches, desperately applying for every flat or room share available. At such a young age, I felt overlooked by many landlords, except for one who took a chance on me.

The worry of not knowing where I would sleep next week or whether there would be food at the food bank haunted me. Although I was never officially homeless, it breaks my heart to know that there are children out there who truly are facing these challenges—children who may only eat once every couple of days and struggle to find warmth at night.

We want to help those in need because I felt that fear, even if I didn’t fully experience it myself. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.
