I will be running the Chelmsford half marathon and raising money for DementiaUK. Around 18 months ago we found out my Nan had dementia and suddenly everything about her changed, after a while she began to struggle more and more. Unfortunately she passed away on the 7th August 2024 she passed away peacefully in hospital. She was one of my favourite people so l have decided to take on a half marathon in her memory.

Dementia UK is a charity providing specialist support for families affected by dementia through its network of Admiral Nurses. They offer practical advice, emotional support, and guidance to help improve quality of life. They have a helpline, offer consultations, and have resources, all aimed at helping people manage the challenges of dementia. They also aim to raise awareness of dementia and advocate for better healthcare policies and services for those affected by dementia.
