Story
As many of you will know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK+ lung cancer in October 2023. To say this turned our world upside down is an understatement.
I was (and sort of still am!) a super fit and healthy person who was addicted to running. The last many would have thought could be diagnosed with such a life changing and cruel disease.
Over the last 18 months or so, we as a family have had to battle through more ups and downs than most people do in a lifetime but I am still here and thriving through the love and support of friends and family.
The Royal Marsden, and in particular the amazing Professor Popat and his team, have found ways to keep the cancer at bay and allow me to live life.
Seeing as I’m no longer able to run marathons (always my go to choice!), I’ve had a mid-life crisis and decided to jump out of a plane with my two brothers-in-law and two of my best mates for charity instead! As many of you will know, my new favourite saying is YOLO (you only live once), so why not!
Your support will help fund the world leading research and trials that changing how people live with cancer and one day, we all hope, they will find a cure.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
