Story
On 5th September, I’ll be attempting to run from the Riverside Museum in Glasgow all the way to Murrayfield Stadium which is 45.5 miles in one day to raise funds for ADHD UK.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my late 20’s, and if I’m honest, I found the diagnosis really difficult to process. It brought clarity, but also a lot of confusion with suddenly trying to make sense of years of behaviours, challenges, and ways my brain works a little differently.
ADHD is often misunderstood, especially in adults. A late diagnosis can come with its own challenges from self-doubt and frustration to figuring out how to navigate work, friendships and relationships, and everyday life in a way that actually works for you.
That’s why I want to do something that raises awareness (and slightly questions my decision-making skills) while supporting the brilliant work that ADHD UK does:
👉 advocating for better understanding 👉 providing resources and support 👉 giving a voice to people who often feel misunderstood
