Story
St Peter’s Hospice provides vital palliative care and support to over 2,000 patients and their families each year in the Bristol area. I remember all too well when my mum was given the choice to spend her final days in hospital or at home. Thanks to the incredible work of St Peter’s Hospice, the most difficult time in our family’s life was made a little bit easier with the professional care of one of their compassionate nurses.
Their dedicated team of nurses and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that those facing the end of their life can do so with dignity, comfort, and surrounded by loved ones.
To raise money for this worthy cause, I am taking on the Three Peaks Challenge. This involves climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales—Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, and Snowdon—within 24 hours. The challenge covers a total ascent of 3,064 meters (10,052 feet) and a distance of over 23 miles (37 kilometers). I aim to do this in under 24 hours.
If by fundraising, I can help another family receive the same compassionate care we did, then every step of this challenge will be worthwhile. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those in need. Please consider donating to help St Peter’s Hospice continue their essential work.
