Taking on the Leeds Half Marathon Once Again – In Memory of My Mum

Two years ago, after completing the Leeds Half Marathon, I never imagined I would do it again. Yet, here I am, preparing to take on the challenge once more.

I am running in memory of my incredible Mum, who bravely fought Motor Neurone Disease (MND) but sadly lost her battle at the young age of 55. This challenge is my way of honoring her. She was truly one of a kind.

MND is a rapidly progressing disease that attacks the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, affecting mobility, speech, swallowing, and even breathing. Tragically, there is currently no cure. By supporting the MND Association, I hope to contribute to their vision of a world free from this devastating disease. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

I am incredibly grateful to my amazing friends—Vicky Dhanjal, Bina Bhabra, Carol Bains, and Kal Kullar who have generously committed to running this half marathon alongside me. Your support means the world, and I couldn’t do this without you.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donates and supports us on this journey. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.

Together, we can make a difference.
