Story
Hey guys,
A lot of you know my story but just in case:
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that originated in my neck. I went through 6 rounds of chemotherapy, lost all my hair, had a few rough days and spent lots of time in hospital playing Clash Royale. It was an interesting time, to say the least.
The good news is I've now been announced as in complete remission, fully on the mend and getting back to living my life at uni as normal. Its been great getting back to sports, seeing my mates, and the hair is slowly coming back - although may be going blonde soon as I've been talking to Jack about that for months.
I've officially been accepted to run the London Marathon early next year in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, and so I've set up this page as a way to officially register the funds already, and hopefully raise a few more! As someone who has admitted he absolutely hates running, the fact my training has even begun should be something to celebrate, but I'll be crossing that finish line come April (either by running, rolling or crawling).
Its been incredible seeing everyone come together, donating, sharing or just messaging me a bit of support - I really can't thank you all enough. If you are in a position to donate that would be fantastic, but a share or a donation to another cancer charity local to your area goes just as far. Charities like TCT really do change peoples lives and help them through a pretty horrendous time. I know everyone will say that about causes they are fundraising for, but I really have the experience to say that your donations are making an immense impact.
Thanks so much, even if it was just taking the time to read this, it means the world. You've all been incredible and so much has been raised in support of some fantastic people - I will never forget it.
Cheers guys x
Charlie
