I am thrilled to share that I have been chosen to take part in this trip to see firsthand the incredible work that Street Child is doing to support children and families across the globe.

Street Child is an amazing charity that works in some of the most challenging environments, helping children access education and empowering communities with the resources they need to create a brighter future. When Street Child started working in Sierra Leone in 2008, it was the poorest nation in the world. Today, children continue to face significant barriers to learning, with 36% of children never completing primary school and many more leaving school without foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Without intervention, children risk getting stuck in a cycle of illiteracy and poverty.

This trip will allow me to witness the life-changing programs that Street Child has put in place, visit local schools, meet beneficiaries and participate in the Sierra Leone Marathon and Cycle Challenge 2025 by doing a 10 kilometre.

But I need YOUR help.

To make this trip impactful, I’m aiming to raise a minimum of £1,500.00 to support Street Child and their ongoing initiatives. This money will directly help fund their vital programs, giving children the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. 🙌

I will be posting regular updates of my training and activities during the lead up to trip and will continue to do so during my time at Sierra Leone. This will show you the incredible work of Street Child, whilst proving how your support can make such an impactful difference.
