Story

Hi thank you for taking your time to visit my page. I have taken the leap of faith and finally booked to do my first ever marathon for a cause close to my heart. I have and I am still battling mental health issues, but raising money will help myself and others get the help they need as we really need more funding for those struggling.

A little about my story:- I have been through a lot myself with mental health. I have tried to commit suicide 6 times, self harming has completely taken up my life which has been so hard and it’s on my mind still daily but I try to battle through. I have been through an eating disorder which is the hardest thing and daily it’s still a battle with my thoughts but I’m so proud of how much I have overcome it. I have also been diagnosed with adhd and borderline personality disorder, I don’t like labelling things but that’s what it is. Going through all this goes to show how tough it is to get help these days in nhs because of how overrun they are. The countless amount of times I have been tearing my hair out and on my knees asking for help but got nowhere with it. I have had to go private and it’s expensive. Nobody should have to feel unwanted and like they can’t get help, so running this marathon for them is going to help get the funding for others that have been through anything like this or similar and I really hope I can makes a change! When if only one person can get help it’s better than nobody. I don’t want anyone to ever have to feel suicide is the answer - I know how hard it is when you sit there feeling like not being here is the only way out and it’s not a good place. I still battle the daily thoughts of suicide but having this goal to aim for is making me realise I can help others and hopefully make a difference!

I also lost my close friend in October 2021 to suicide and it’s broken mine and the closest to hers heart. I am doing this for you Chelsea so others can get the help before it too late. Will always miss you and thinking of you.

I can do this and you can beat this - reach out if you need help ❤️

Together we can all make a difference 😊
