Story
I’m supporting The Little Big Book Drop because I know how overwhelming it can be when bad news is delivered and there’s no time, space, or words for what comes next.
Having experienced the devastation of 3 pregnancy losses at different gestations I know how awful it is to be in hospital faced with decisions you never thought you'd have to make. A friend lent me The Worst Girlgang Ever book in the midst of my 2nd loss and I read it cover to cover in 2 days. I found the associated resources eg podcasts and stories from others so helpful, making a horrible experience considerably less lonely.
I want to raise money for books to stock up my local Early Pregnancy Unit in our hospital. I found their care to be great and really think they would benefit from as many resources possible to support others going through pregnancy loss.
£100 will deliver a box of 20 books to my local hospital West Middlesex Early Pregnancy Unit, £200 will deliver 40 books amd so forth. I want people to receive real support at the moment it’s needed rather than searching through a sea of sometimes scary and unhelpful information online.
I will be taking part in The Vagina Museum TWGGEF Baby Loss Awareness week exhibition where you can find my story and Marks. Fortunately I am now pregnant again and quickly approaching the 3rd trimester. I will also attempt some sort of spin on our static bike until the day I give birth - even if its just a little one, whatever the body allows.
Any donation - big or small - helps put support into someone’s hands.
Thank you for being part of this.
