Story
I may have lost my mind (in the best way possible). But I have decided to join #TeamCDA, and taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise funds for Cambridge Deaf Association (CDA).
I am not a runner and up until about a week ago I have not run for about a year… But all that being said I have decided to do my bit to support CDA. CDA is an incredible charity supporting and empowering deaf people and their families. The challenge I face is nothing compared to the challenges facing deaf people and their families everyday, for example difficulties with communicating with the hearing world, getting access to medical professionals with trained interpreters, feeling alone and isolated.
I will be running (maybe walking a little) but I hope you can donate just a small amount to help me support this amazing charity. Ill be in a LOT of pain but it will be worth it if I manage to reach my target.
By supporting our team, you’ll be helping CDA continue its vital work — from providing advocacy and wellbeing support to running community groups, reducing isolation through Befriending and delivering Deaf awareness training. Every donation gets us closer to our team goal and helps create a more inclusive future for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people across Cambridgeshire🧡
