Alder Hey is one of the top specialist paediatric hospitals in the world, caring for hundreds of thousands of children every year - from babies born with complex conditions to children battling cancer, heart disease and neurological disorders. Behind every one of those children is a team of over 4,000 dedicated staff, and the hospital treats more than 450,000 young patients every year. That's an enormous number of families whose lives are touched by the compassion and expertise of the people who work there every single day.

At Alder Hey, they believe their job is more than just treating an illness - every child is an individual, and they set out to make every patient feel happy, safe and confident as they play, learn and grow.
