The 21st of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Every year on March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day is observed to create awareness

Story

As we countdown to World Down Syndrome Day, we want show the world why we are proud to be positive about Down syndrome!

We first found PADS when we got our prenatal diagnosis about Bodhi. They welcomed us in with a congratulations card, books and a knitted hat and have been a big part of our journey since.

The information PADS shares and the training they deliver is invaluable to families and we would love to be able to give back to PADS and Down Syndrome UK, so they can continue their amazing work.

Can you help us raise £21 to give back for all the support PADS has given us? Every pound raised helps make a positive impact on individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Positive about Down syndrome (PADS) works hard to ensure EVERY expectant and new parent of a baby with Down syndrome has access to the information and support that they deserve – the reality of what living with Down syndrome looks like in modern Britain, as well as ongoing peer support and expert advice when baby arrives.
