Sophie is my daughter, and I’m committed to fulfilling her wishes by making real changes for families in hospital. Abseiling the Spinnaker Tower has always been on my bucket list, so when this chance came up, I knew I had to take it. Sometimes pushing yourself through fear is what you have to do — especially knowing everything Sophie went through, this challenge feels small by comparison.

The abseil is on 29th June, just a few days after my birthday. If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, I would truly appreciate it. We support thousands of families every year who have a child in hospital, and every penny makes a huge difference.

Sophie was a 10 year old child who was determined to make a difference before she died. She wrote a bucket list of things she wanted changed in her memory. The list was to improve the experience for families admitted to hospital with their children as well as improving outcomes for children with cancer. Sophie's Legacy charity was set up following Sophies death. We support families in hospital by providing food, toiletries, clothes, transport, birthday parties, etc. We currently cover 12 hospitals supporting hundreds of families every single week. We also advocate at a national level with the government and NHS to improve play, food for children and parents being fed. We are also advocating for improvements for children diagnosed with cancer. Together we will make change.
