Story
I’m thrilled to be joining You Make It, an award-winning social justice organisation with a focus on race and class inclusion in London, where this week I start as a voluntary mentor for the duration of the programme until March 2025.
You Make It empowers young, unemployed, and underemployed women from racialised communities, helping them to access the social, cultural, and economic life of their city.
As part of their transformational programme, You Make It provides 1:1 mentoring and I am incredibly passionate making positive change and impact. Through this, I’ll have the opportunity to guide and support one of these remarkable women as she works towards her goals.
However, You Make It relies heavily on funding to continue offering this life-changing support, including training mentors like me to ensure we’re able to make the biggest impact.
To help cover the cost of the mentoring programme (£750 + VAT), I’m asking for your support.
Your donation will not only help cover the fee but also contribute to the charity’s continued success in changing lives. An impressive 70% of the women You Make It works with go on to full-time employment, and I’m excited to be part of that movement for positive change.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference. Thank you so much for your support.
