As some of you may know we met in 2016 at a fitness club. Being the only 2 people who knew no one, we always paired up, before you knew it we were fitness pals. Never did a session / event without one another. Here we are again, only this time is different, this time we are fundraising for a charity that supports a disease that effects Amber.

She was diagnosed in 2011 with endometriosis. After many treatments she was doing okay. Amber and her husband welcomed a baby in 2018 then again in 2020. I love them both dearly and am known to them as auntie Winnie!

Sadly about a year after Amber's second baby her endometriosis came back, however this time it was different. The flare ups were more violent, sometimes she couldn’t stand, she would cry in pain, it is around 2-3 weeks of 4 that she suffers. She has now been diagnosed with stage 4 rectovaginal endometriosis. She is waiting for her second laparoscopy to see if she will need a further referral to bowel surgery. Then she will be expecting a hysterectomy. Amber is 33, and luckily her and her husband have completed their family.

She has been told there is no known cure.

Myself and Amber would like to raise money for this charity to support those suffering in silence, support groups, information and helplines provided by Endometriosis UK. Hopefully one day there will be a known found cure for endometriosis.

As my partner in fitness and a huge part of my life, I really want to support Amber in raising awareness about a condition that is not talked about enough.
