Story
The four of us (Charlotte, Adam, Lois and Daniel) are taking on the Lisburn Half Marathon in a slightly unusual way: joined together as a caterpillar.
We’ve done a few 5km runs before but running 13.1 miles (21km) while linked together is a whole new challenge. We’re doing it to raise money for The Joy Foundation, a Christian charity that supports some of the poorest communities in Poland with Christ at the centre of all they do.
This July (28th July – 4th August), Charlotte, Adam and Lois will be travelling to Elbląg, Poland with The Joy Foundation to help run a week-long children’s camp with Pastor Pawel Kugler. The camp welcomes children from all sorts of backgrounds including those from children's homes, Polish, Ukrainian & Russian families for a joyful week of baking, sports, crafts, life lessons, quizzes, Bible stories and singing, all rooted in sharing God’s love.
Daniel isn’t going on the trip but he’s part of the Caterpillar Crawl for the craic and to help us raise as much as we can!
We’ve covered our own travel and costs so every penny raised goes directly to The Joy Foundation to support the children and the work happening out there.
We’d love your support whether that’s through a donation or by praying for safe travel, good health, and that each child would know how deeply they’re loved by Jesus.
