Yes, I have ran a couple of marathons before but this one is VERY different, it is a very challenging, very hilly route following the ‘original course’ from the ancient city of Marathon to Athens Olympic Stadium, featuring a 9 mile relentless incline in the middle.

I am raising money for Cobalt because I work for this amazing little charity with a huge impact and see the incredible difference we make every day for patients both locally and nationally.

We provide hundreds of free specialist scans which would otherwise not be available for ladies with dense breast tissue at risk of breast cancer.

We contribute to pioneering research and fund specialist nursing roles to enable more patients to join studies if they want to. We also help fund the salary of a specialist nurse for teenagers and young adults with cancer.
