Story
On the 13th March 2018 our little Alexander was born sleeping at 33 weeks and 5 days. It was a very dark period of our lives, and for me in particular Sands was such an invaluable help. From the forum where I’ve made life long friends, to the events they arranged to bring together bereaved parents, including support groups during subsequent pregnancies, which are absolutely terrifying! And then the practical funding of cold cots and bereavement rooms in hospitals to allow families to make memories with their angel babies.
30 km might not sound like much to those who run, but I’m not a runner, and I haven’t even ran a km in over 2 years 😂 I’m going to try to do it 1 km a day to give myself 30 days where I get 10 minutes to think and remember! But I can guarantee by the end I will have hit 30km!
I really appreciate any support. Thank you! xxx
Here’s the standard blurb!
Will you challenge yourself to run 30k over the month of September?
Sands want to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of time. We want to campaign for change and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the pain of losing a baby. Please step forward.
