Story

I’m Taking a Leap – For Abby’s Heroes

On 29th June, at 11am, I’ll be strapping into a harness and stepping off the edge of the Spinnaker Tower—yes, that 170-meter-high landmark in Portsmouth—in a daring abseil for an incredible cause: Abby’s Heroes.

Now, I’m not exactly one for heights. The thought of dangling mid-air with nothing but a rope between me and the pavement is terrifying. But I’m doing this because some challenges in life are far greater—and much scarier—than a fear of heights.

Abby’s Heroes is a Southampton-based charity that supports children and young people receiving cancer treatment, and their families. They provide financial help, emotional support, and even offer unforgettable experiences for families going through some of the toughest times imaginable. Their work is nothing short of life-changing.

I’m taking on this abseil in honour of these brave children, the families fighting alongside them, and in memory of Abby—a bright, beautiful soul whose legacy lives on through this amazing charity.

Here’s where you come in.

I’ve committed to going over the edge (literally), and I’d be so grateful if you could help me reach my fundraising target. Every donation—big or small—makes a real difference. It could help fund family grants, provide vital equipment, or offer emotional support when it’s needed most.

Please sponsor me and be part of something powerful. Let’s turn fear into hope—one step (and one nerve-wracking descent!) at a time.

Thank you!!
