Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Miscarriage Association, a charity very close to my heart.
After suffering the loss of our much loved and wanted baby at 9 weeks in 2024, the Miscarriage Association was suggested to me by one of my closest friends who is a nurse. I had never heard of them before and yet they do the most amazing work.
It spans from internet resources that enable you to find out more information about various aspects of baby loss, to telephone support staff available for one to one guidance. Unfortunately, for many reasons I felt unsupported by the NHS during this time but the Miscarriage Association was a resource I could go to in my own time and read about different aspects of miscarriage which allowed me to process grief.
As miscarriage is still socially considered a taboo topic, despite one in two UK adults experiencing baby loss or knowing someone who has, the work the Miscarriage Association do is invaluable to enable those quietly grieving to have support at hand.
I hope by reading this page that you not only donate what you can, which is of course hugely appreciated, but also that you remember the work the Miscarriage Association do to enable others in need to seek their support.
I am running this for our baby who we never met but is missed and loved everyday.
