Story
Golf has been a huge part of my life since I was 11 years old. Golf has allowed me to spend precious time with my Dad before he passed away, with my husband and my daughter.
As a junior golfer, I couldn’t help but notice how the boys were treated differently. I count myself lucky for becoming involved in the county pathway, as without it, is extremely likely I wouldn’t have continued playing.
I used my experiences as motivation; studying Golf Management at university and moving into golf development after graduation to try and make a difference.
Now I'm extremely lucky to work with The Golf Trust and I’m so excited to be fundraising to help continue their incredible work.
On Sunday 12th October, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for The Golf Trust.
The Golf Trust, a pioneering charity based in the UK, is making significant strides in transforming lives through the sport of golf. Their mission is empowering independence through golf by providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be active, to connect and be a part of a community.
Recognising that golf is more than just a sport, The Golf Trust aims to create a welcoming environment for everyone. The charity works with a variety of groups, including schools, care homes, autism charities, spinal rehabilitation centres, and dementia groups to create specific programmes and coaching to help provide a tailored enjoyable golf experience.
This August, The Golf Trust proudly celebrated 13 years of delivery.
✨ thousands of golf sessions,
✨ working with hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities,
✨ empowering lives through the game of golf,
✨ improving both mental and physical health.
For 13 years, we’ve seen golf transform lives and now more than ever we need your support! Please consider donating towards my target of £500 to help us support more people for many years more! Together we can make a difference!
