Story
Hello wonderful people,
2024 challenge for Myeloma UK is here… passe-moi de l'eau et une barre énergétique.
This year I will attempting to run the Paris Marathon on the 7th April.
I am running for my mother, who has been bravely fighting myeloma for 4 and a half years now. Myeloma is an extremely rare blood cancer that is currently incurable – please help me change this.
I have seen first-hand that your donations are life changing: in October last year, my mother was lucky enough to be accepted onto a medical trial in London. She was the first human to take a new trial drug, which highlights her incredible courage. Thankfully, we have been extremely blessed, as this new treatment is showing positive results. We need treatments like this to continue. Donations to Myeloma UK are fundamental in supporting the development and running of these clinical trials and new drugs – Myeloma UK receives no funding from the government, so I really need your help!
Every year since my mother’s diagnosis, I (with lots of help, in the form of my brothers and Kailem) have pushed through some gruelling challenges. I cried over the finish line during the Manchester Half Marathon last year; but this year – even though the thought of it fills me with dread – I’m going bigger.
Anyone who is blessed enough to know Mama Suze/ Suzanne will know she is the most selfless, caring, protective mother to all. Selfishly I want nothing but simply more time with her.
Thank you for your unwavering support, love and donations. I never will be able to put into words how much this means to me and my family.
Please please give generously - I’m going to need all the help, to get my legs through 42.2km.
Lots of love, merci,
Charlotte x
