Story
Most people who know me know that I can’t ride a bike, so I thought that I would do the obvious thing and sign up to cycle 54 miles from London to Brighton.
On 21st June, I will be cycling the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton Bike Ride, raising money for Mind. With the help of my boyfriend-turned-coach, Chris, and my Dad trusting me with his bike, I’m hoping to make it to the Brighton seafront.
I thought this would be a good opportunity to push myself and raise money for a great cause.
In the UK, 75% of suicides are committed by men, with 14 men taking their own life every single day. This is a cause that means a lot to Chris and I, having both known people personally that unfortunately decided to take their own lives. More needs to be done to improve men’s mental health and I hope that this challenge can help in some way.
Any donations, however big or small, or just words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
