Charlton Kings's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Charlton Kings Care Home is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Skydiving

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In just a few weeks’ time, Tash will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of her life. She is skydiving to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

Tash works at Charlton Kings Care Home, where she sees every day the impact that dementia has on individuals and those around them. She witnesses the strength it takes to navigate confusion, the patience required in moments of uncertainty, and the importance of compassionate, specialist support.

Through her work, she understands just how vital organisations like Alzheimer’s Society are. From funding groundbreaking research to providing practical advice, helplines and local services, their work makes a real and lasting difference.

That is why Tash has decided to step far outside her comfort zone.

Soon, she will be climbing into a plane, rising thousands of feet into the sky, and making the leap. While the thought of jumping from that height is nerve-wracking, she knows the cause is worth it. A few minutes of courage can help raise essential funds and awareness for a condition that affects so many lives.

By supporting Tash’s skydive, you are not only cheering her on as she takes that brave step, you are also helping ensure that more people living with dementia receive the support, understanding and hope they deserve.

The countdown is on, and Tash is ready to take the leap.
