Why I’m Supporting Spinal Research in the Sydney Marathon
Running has been a life-changing journey for me. Since completing my first marathon in New York in 2022, followed by Berlin in 2023 and Chicago in 2024, I’ve come to appreciate not just the physical challenge but the immense privilege of movement. Every race I run reminds me of how fortunate I am to have the ability to train, push my limits, and cross the finish line.
But not everyone has that chance.
This year, I want to run for more than just a personal goal—I want to run for those who can’t. That’s why I’m dedicating my Sydney Marathon 2025 journey to Spinal Research, an incredible organization working to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. Their mission resonated deeply with me. I know that for millions of people with spinal cord injuries, movement is no longer an option. Their world changes in an instant—something as simple as walking, standing, or even holding a loved one becomes impossible. I can’t imagine that kind of loss. But I believe in hope.
By supporting Spinal Research, we can help fund groundbreaking studies that may one day restore movement to those who have lost it. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to a future where spinal cord injuries are no longer permanent.
I’m running the Sydney Marathon not just for myself, but for the countless individuals who dream of moving freely again. I would be incredibly grateful for your support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this cause with others. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Let’s run for those who can’t! With your help, we can #CureParalyis.
