Cure Alzheimer's Fund is an organization that raises money for Alzheimer's research. I am raising money in honor of my grandmother, Bambi Mleczko, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her mid-60s and has fought the disease for the last 10 years. As of right now, there is no cure for this horrendous disease, but the Cure Alzheimers Fund raises money for preventing, slowing, or reversing Alzheimer's. By donating money, you are part of the solution to finding a cure. I am playing on behalf of my grandmother and the other members of my family who know they have the hereditary Alzheimer's gene. Hopefully, with enough funding and research, scientists can find a way to prevent, slow, or reverse the disease. Alzheimer's has caused so much pain for my family as we slowly watch our grandmother lose her fight, and I want to do my part to help others who are struggling with this illness.
