Many people are affected by cancer in their lifetime, whether it is themselves, family or friends. It’s a difficult time for a person and their loved ones, when they hear about their diagnosis, the treatment plan, going through treatment then recovery,

In previous years we have sponsored various charities, but this year, Chatter has chosen Maggie’s Centres. Maggie’s are there with you on your cancer journey. They offer free expert care and support for you and your loved ones.

They offer a peaceful place to sit and a drop-in listening ear should you need it. They run workshops and have psychologists available to work with you. Their services are invaluable.

There are centres all over the UK which are used by ordinary people like you and I who may need support in relation to cancer.

Many of the participants of the Chatter Challenge raise money for a charity as they do this hardcore but fun challenge. Not only will Chatter donate 10% of your subscription fee to Maggie’s, we would love for you to also share this fundraiser and get your friends and family supporting you as you do the Chatter Challenge 2024/25 - the original fun winter swim challenge. Let’s smash this fundraiser!

What is the Chatter Challenge? It’s an open water winter swim/dip challenge which is full of community, craic and fun which runs from 01/11/24 until 31/03/25 and the idea is to dip as often as you can during that period. There are different award levels dependant on how often you dip from bronze (1 dip) through to diamond (151 dips ie daily). Joining the Chatter Challenge is easy - via www.chatterchallenge.com and you will find more information.

There are four subscriptions options to choose from:

1) Original - open water in cozzie or shorts

2) Mixed Bag - same as Original but you can also have cold showers or use an ice bath

3) All Wetsuits - same as Original but in a wetsuit

4) Chilly Challenge - this is the Mixed Bag but runs from 01/01/25 until 31/01/25. Three months instead of five.

Everyone receives a free hat and other goodies when they sign up.
