South Ayrshire Befriending Project (SABP) is a small, independent, registered charity. We are based in Ayr and provide a befriending service for young people aged between 8 to 18 years old with social or emotional difficulties living within South Ayrshire.

Story

Thank you so much for supporting our 2023 Charity Challenge!

This year our main fundraising activity will be occurring on the 19th of August on the sunny Isle of Arran!

Our team will either be cycling round the island (56 miles!) or climbing it’s highest peak Goat Fell (874m)…

… we would be so grateful for anything you could donate to help drive us through this challenge and raise funds and awareness of SABP!

SABP provide one to one befriending support and group events to socially isolated and disadvantaged young people in our local Ayrshire. The young people that they support have limited adult support at home and limited opportunities for social engagement or friendships. Many live in environments affected by poverty, drugs, alcohol or mental health issues.

SABP are always looking for adults to join them as volunteers to support these young people in need so if you could spare a few hours a month please get in touch with them at: https://www.bfriend.org.uk/be-involved to register your interest. This opportunity could change your life for the better too!

We’ll keep you posted on how we get on and thanks again for your support!
