This Christmas, more than 400 Civil Service colleagues are coming together to raise money for Cheerful Sparrows, a fantastic local Kent charity that makes a real difference to people in our community.

Throughout the festive period, we’ll be raising funds through our Christmas raffle, bake sale, tea and coffee stalls, and a range of games and activities — all with one shared goal: to raise as much as possible for a charity supporting local people when they need it most.

Cheerful Sparrows provides practical support to individuals and families experiencing hardship, helping with essential items and other support, while also contributing to the comfort and wellbeing of patients at QEQM Hospital.

We wanted our 2026 Christmas fundraising to support a smaller, local charity where the money raised can make a meaningful difference close to home. Every donation, raffle ticket, slice of cake and cup of coffee will help us towards that goal.
