Story
Meet Sherry!
Sweet like sherry this gorgeous girl arrived into our care at Cats Protection Essex Centre just before Christmas. She came from a multi cat household of 13 cats at just four months old, so she was very reserved and nervous. After a few days Sherry came out of her shell and began to get used to centre life.
Unfortunately, Sherry experienced complications with a routine spay and developed a nasty infection. We were very worried about Sherry while she fought the infection, but we are pleased to say she has recovered well.
Sherry is very affectionate and will get out of her bed as soon as you enter the pen, purring away for a fuss! She has been a superstar letting us check her wounds several times a day and she loves to sit on your lap and stare at you lovingly. She even tolerated having to wear a medical body suit to protect her wound and keep her dressings in place. Sherry is now ready to be homed and looking for her perfect fit.
To help us cover the cost of Sherry’s treatment, and to ensure we’re ready to help the next cat or kitten in need, we’re asking for your support.
Sherry’s care has already cost over £3,000, which includes her microchipping. She had an extensive revision surgery to remove infected tissue.
Every penny has gone towards giving her the best chance at a happy, healthy life.
