30km for 30 Years: Helping Hounds Find Their Forever
The Big 3-0
To mark my 30th birthday, I’m setting myself a challenge that is much harder than blowing out 30 candles! On 29th March 2026, I will be walking 30km to raise funds for a cause very close to my heart: Aura’s Dogs UK.
Why Aura’s Dogs?
As a foster volunteer, I see the incredible work this charity does every single day. While my home is usually filled with the "45mph couch potatoes" (my beloved Greyhounds), Aura’s Dogs UK opens its doors to all breeds, focusing specifically on the most vulnerable.
They take in the dogs that have been forgotten and those who have had the toughest starts in life. These dogs require more than just a kennel; they often need specialised vet care, behavioural support, and a lot of love to help them heal.
The Best Birthday Gift Possible
Turning 30 is a milestone, and I want to celebrate it by giving back. I am kindly asking for no birthday cards or presents this year. Instead, I would be so moved if you would consider donating to this walk.
If you were planning on buying me a birthday drink, a card, or a gift, please redirect that kindness to the dogs. Every pound raised goes directly toward the high-cost care these vulnerable animals need to find their forever homes.
How your donation helps:
• The "Underdogs": Supporting dogs with chronic health issues or seniors who need extra comfort.
• The Survivors: Helping dogs from neglectful backgrounds get the veterinary intervention they need.
• The Fosters: Providing the supplies and support that volunteers like me need to keep these dogs safe and warm while they wait for a family.
Thank you for helping me celebrate my 30th year by making a life-changing difference for these dogs.
