I'm Running an Ultra Marathon for Kids' Village!
Hi! I'm Chelsea, and earlier this year, I started running. At the time, I couldn’t run more than a few minutes without needing to stop, but I stuck with it. And now, somehow, I’m taking on something I never imagined I'd be capable of: a team ultra marathon over 12 hours.
It's going to be long, tough, and absolutely exhausting… but I’m doing it for a very good cause: Kids’ Village.
Kids’ Village is a beautiful initiative working to build the UK’s first holiday village designed specifically for children with critical and life-limiting illnesses. They’re creating a place where children and their families can make joyful memories together, away from hospital walls and daily stress. A place filled with magic, comfort, and hope.
Every step I take in this ultra marathon — every mile that hurts and every moment I want to give up — will be for the kids and families who need a break more than anyone can imagine.
I’ve only just started running this year, and this challenge is bigger than anything I’ve ever done. But knowing I’m running for something that truly matters will keep me going.
If you’re able to support me, please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to making Kids’ Village a reality.
Thank you so much — for reading, for cheering me on, and for helping bring some joy to children who really need it.
