Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
Earlier this year (January 2026) my dad ‘Gary’ passed away suddenly in his sleep at only 64 years old, while being fit and seemingly healthy, after having no symptoms or previous ill health/underlying health conditions that we were aware of.
It was found my dad had suffered a major heart attack caused by blood clots and plaque blocking major ventricular arteries. There was nothing we could do to save him, nor would he have been able to have been saved if he were in hospital.
In my dad’s legacy I want to do something positive and put my efforts into something that hopefully he would be proud of me for doing.
I’ve decided to raise money for the British Heart Foundation by completing a series of challenges, both individually and with the support of some of my closest friends and family. So, I'd be so grateful for your support.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
£24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target!
Hopefully by raising money for this wonderful charity, other families can be saved of the heartbreaking loss of their loved ones.
Thank you!
