Story
Hi, we are Dan, Fred and Kobe, three students studying the Community Football Coaching Degree, delivered by Cheltenham Town Community Trust in partnership with the University of South Wales. We are taking on this challenge to raise money for Cheltenham Town Community Trust, a charity that has had a huge impact on our journey.
As part of our degree, we have spent time out in the community delivering football and physical activity sessions alongside Cheltenham Town Community Trust. Throughout our placements, the Trust's coaches have mentored and supported us, helping us develop our coaching skills, confidence and experience.
Working alongside the Trust has given us the opportunity to see first-hand the difference it makes every day. Cheltenham Town Community Trust is the official charity of Cheltenham Town Football Club, using the power of sport to create healthier, stronger and more active communities. Through a wide range of programmes, the Trust supports children and young people, improves physical and mental wellbeing, creates opportunities for disabled people, tackles social isolation and helps people of all ages reach their potential.
Seeing this impact inspired us to give something back to a charity that has invested so much time in supporting us.
In July, Cheltenham Town Community Trust announced that it generated more than £13.5 million of social value across the community. That means that for every £1 of income the charity receives, it creates £32.51 of social value through its charitable programmes.
Our goal is to raise £500. Based on this impact, our fundraising could help generate £16,255 worth of positive social value, helping more people access life changing opportunities through the Trust's work.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Cheltenham Town Community Trust continue making a difference across Gloucestershire.
Thank you for supporting our challenge and helping us give back to a charity that has given us so much.
