Marathon x teenage homelessness charity

Cher Keane is raising money for The Clock Tower Sanctuary

Brighton Marathon 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only drop-in day centre for young people aged 16 - 25 experiencing homelessness. Based in central Brighton, it's a place where young people who have nowhere to call home can feel safe. So, lace up and get running!!

Story

My promise - the more you donate, the less I'll bore you to death with the fact I ran a long way... :) I ran a marathon ten years ago and promised myself I'd never do it again, but hey ho, here we are. I do love running, but marathons are just stupid and this is going to hurt like a bitch. To make me feel better when I inevitably hit a wall after four hours of relentless road bashing, I'm going to think about the people I'm supporting. I've chosen The Clock Tower Sanctuary. It provides support to 16-25 year olds experiencing homelessness, providing advice, safety, longterm support, a place to have a shower, wash clothes, have a hot meal and talk to specially trained volunteers. If you can spare some pennies, I would be very grateful.
