Story
Over the last 13 years, i have taken on a variety challenges whilst raising money and awareness for Brain Tumour Research. This devastating disease has affected several friends and family members some of who are sadly no longer with us.
In 2012 my twin sister Danielle was diagnosed with a Cerebellar Haemangioblastoma. She underwent several 8-9 hour operations and following complications has a Ventricular Shunt which she will have for life.
During Danielle’s time in hospital (the amazing John Radcliffe in Oxford) she made friends with an incredible lady called Clare. Clare and Danielle became close friends but sadly Clare passed away in 2018 leaving her beautiful family behind.
Danielle and Clare are the reasons i take on these challenges to raise awareness ❤️
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
