Cherry Williams memorial fundraiser for The Daisy Appeal

James Williams is raising money for The Daisy Appeal
In memory of Cherry Williams
Hull & East Yorkshire Medical Research Centre (Daisy Appeal) opened in 2008. The charity built the Jack Brignall PET-CT Scanning Centre in 2014. In 2024 we built a Molecular Imaging Research Centre to produce PET CT tracers. We are fundraising for a £3m digital scanner to help save more lives.

Story

The Daisy Appeal was founded with the aim of funding cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to support cancer treatment and care within East Yorkshire.

This charity is close to the hearts of Cherry, the Williams Family and the Kemp Family. In previous years they have supported both of Cherry's parents through their cancer treatments. More recently they supported Cherry, using all of the latest technologies and techniques to try and find a diagnosis. They offered outstanding care during this process and in her final moments.

The Daisy Appeal is raising funds for a new PET scanner. Stronger collaboration between PET diagnostics and treatments is essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment, providing both healthcare teams and patients with better knowledge to manage the disease.

If people are feeling generous enough to offer a monetary contribution in Cherry's memory, we would like to directly support the Daisy Appeal.
